We will admit that “Eclipse” doesn’t suck as much as the previous Twilight films. … Though it still sucks. Check out what we had to say about it here.

Check out Chapter 39, the last in the Twilight “saga” and the ending of possibly the worst book we have ever read, “Breaking Dawn.” We know it’s been a long time coming, but this seriously was very difficult for us to finish.

Don’t fret, though. Just because we’ve finally made it through the series doesn’t mean we’re finished just yet. There’s still “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” to read (ugh), and a review of “Eclipse” to write soon (we went to see it this weekend; it was painful to shell out $5.50, let us tell you).

So stick around! There’s plenty more to make fun of.

We also have some other things to share with you today. We’d first of all like to point out that there’s a new Robert is Bothered video up. This time, Robert is bothered by the World Cup. This may be the funniest one yet, because he may or may not spend a portion of the video hissing at a vuvuzela horn. Ha. Brilliant.

And, lastly, Spider Monkey‘s colleagues left this story on her desk while she was away on vacation. Apparently, someone from Ancestry.com did a little digging and discovered that RPattz is very distantly related to Vlad III (also known as Vlad the Impaler, also known as Vlad Dracula — the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”). He’s distantly related to the current British royal family, who are in turn distantly related to Vlad. Good lord, this is all the Twi-hards need to hear…

Sorry for making you all wait over a week for an update, but The Destroying Angel was away on a work trip building houses in the middle of cornfields while preparing to move far, far away. Upon HER return, Spider Monkey decided to take a vacation. Luckily, after a nice hiatus from the indescribable torture of Twilight, we’re back and we’re looking to finish it up!

We’re sorry to torture you with the posting of Chapter 37, but you keep coming back for some reason

Once we’re both fully recovered from our vacations we’ll be making our way to the movies for a screening of Eclipse. Thank god for nalgenes and booze.

Secondly, we want to assure everyone that we won’t be quite finished with our project once we get through these last chapters. We WILL be reading SMeyer’s newest addition to the “saga,” “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.” It’s less than 200 pages, so hopefully we can get through it over the summer.

We’ve had a lot of people asking if we’re going to tackle it, so we’re here to confirm that, yes, we are!

After that, however, we’re not quite so sure. We could move on to the existing chapters of ”Midnight Sun,” we suppose. But that really might cause us to commit suicide with blunt objects.

YouTube user GracieLou2 is a fan of Alex Reads Twilight (check out our Just For Laughs section for more on him, as we love him, too), but is worried that Alex won’t make it through all the books. So she suggests people come check us out instead! You know, since we’re all awesome and such. So, thanks!

Also today, we got an e-mail from Ilona of The Friande, telling us that she had bequeathed upon us a blog award! Basically, after you receive it, you’re supposed to “pass on” this award to 15 other blogs/bloggers that you think your readers would enjoy, and she chose us as one of her 15.

We’re supposed to pick 15 now to suggest, but since many of our sections already link you to other fun/amusing places that we love, we really don’t have anything new to add. … Please don’t hate us. But thank you for the shout out!

We’re really pushing to have this book finished within the next couple of weeks. And we’ve only got four more chapters to go! Thank God.

Also, don’t forget to vote in our latest poll, and let us know if you’re going to go see “Eclipse” when it comes out later this month.

In it, we finally find out who the mysterious J. Jenks is. And, as predicted, the whole thing is totally anti-climactic.

Opening a new poll means closing an old one. The last thing we asked you was “What bothers you most about the Jacob/Renesmee relationship?” Well, it was an outright tie. 35 percent of you said “Umm, hello. He imprinted on a BABY. Gross.” And another 35 percent of you said “The fact that right now Jacob is playing Daddy (since Renesmee’s real mommy and daddy often hand her off to others), when, in a few years, they’ll be having lots of sex and cross-breed puppies.”

We also added a new link to a series of YouTube videos to the Just For Laughs section (under YouTube gems). In them, a British dude named Alex is reading and summarizing “Twilight” chapter by chapter, kind of like we are. He’s mildly offensive, and downright hilarious. Go check him out.

Lastly, do we have any Glee fans in the house? If so, did you guffaw uncontrollably last night when “Twilight” references were made? We did.
